Kandahar Area Coordinator based in Kabul, Afghanistan
To start: ASAP for 2 yearsAn experienced manager is sought to manage, in liaison with the Program Director, the area team based in Kandahar. This role is Kabul-based requiring regular travel to Kandahar. The projects in Kandahar are being remotely managed so experience of remote working methodologies are required. The successful candidate will have relevant relief experience plus proven management and leadership skills, coupled with experience in project design management, finance and strategic planning. Experience of working in insecure locations is essential.
Experience of other Tearfund partners working in Kandahar and the ability to speak Dari or Pashto would be an advantage.
Responsibilities include needs assessment and proposal development, regular communication with other agencies, partner organizations and with the Program Director, the writing of project reports to relevant donors and monthly written reports on all field activities.
