Our Work
Safe Water Overview
Like food, clean water is required to sustain life and maintain basic health. However, many families survive with hindered access to water and compromised water quality. Family members, often young women, may spend several hours a day carrying enough water from distant sources to meet the family’s household needs. This burdensome task leaves little or no time for school or other productive activities.
World Relief Canada and our partners work to assist communities in solving their water issues. WRCanada undertakes programs to improve community access to clean water through wells, water supply systems, and proper sanitation. Our partners also provide related training to ensure water systems are properly maintained and hygienic practices are encouraged to protect water from contamination.Resources
